The hoodie is sick, but to say I'm happy with it or love it... (I am autistic)

As someone with ASD, I naturally loved the idea behind this brand.
The hoodie is amazing quality for the price—especially compared to others I’ve seen or owned in the £50–£65 range. On that front, I’m really damn pleased. No defects, no marks, no signs of rushed production—it's actually perfect. I’d recommend it on those bases alone.

But of course, like I said, I’m autistic—so the branding and whole premise of this company “catering” to people on the spectrum is where I have more of my own gripes. Not all autistics are the same, obviously, but if you’re going to build your identity around being sensory-friendly, then certain things should be more dialed in.

First issue: the smell.
There was a potent, lingering scent straight out of the package—exactly like that harsh smell you get from something freshly printed. And honestly, if this wasn’t marketed specifically for autistic people, I’d probably just deal with it and wait it out. But if you’re claiming to be sensory-conscious, you should also know that smells can be a major issue for a lot of us. This one hit hard and actually left me feeling sick.

Second issue is the lining.
Again, this one might be more personal, and I’ll admit it’s probably a bit petty—but it really added to the sensory discomfort for me. The material is technically soft and decent to the touch, but once I actually wore it, the feeling on my skin was awful. Not itchy or rough—more like oddly wet or slimy. I know the idea was to go for a soft, frictionless feel (which makes sense in theory), but for me it just felt gross. I don’t even know what the material is exactly, other than it being called “blanket-like,” which I think is sort of debatable.

And as for their claim—“Our sweatshirts are lined with an incredibly soft, blanket-like material to create the perfect sweatshirt you won’t want to take off”—I sadly couldn’t wait to take mine off. And that genuinely bummed me out, because I was really hyped for this to arrive.

So yeah—on build quality and design alone? Solid 10/10. But on the actual sensory experience, which is kind of the core selling point here? I think it needs more work. Still, I respect the effort and really hope they keep refining things.

Overall, I'm probably never getting anything clothing wise from this company again. But I hope to keep an eye out & support them still by getting some more stickers or pins!

It’s very soft but I reserve a xl hoodie instead of a 2xl like a order..
